Shilpa Shinde: I will return to Bhabi… if Binaifer Kohli is replaced

The legal and verbal dual between Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Shilpa Shinde and the show’s producer Binaifer Kohli has witnessed yet another turn.

In an exclusive chat with SpotboyE, Shilpa has said she is ready to return to the sitcom, but only if Binaifer is shown the door.  Also, she is not happy with the location being Naigaon. “I will return if Binaifer is replaced and the location is changed. I am not mad to leave a good show, but can’t work with a producer who wants  to control me.  Also, my health is not very good and there are no good medical facilities in Naigaon,” she says.

The actress asserts that she has no issues with the channel.  “The original  team which created the show’s concept is no longer there and the new members don’t know me personally. So, they might have come under the influence of Binaifer, who has been spreading rumours about me,” she explains.

Shilpa has also accused Binaifer of sending goons to her house, threatening her to return to shoot. The actress says she has already filed a police complaint in this regard.

The actress-producer war had started when Shilpa stopped shooting for the show last month (
Shilpa: Things go haywire even if I ask for alteration of my blouse, March 14).

Shilpa raised her voice against te exclusivity clause in her contract, which prevents her from working in other shows.

A volley of allegations and counter-allegations followed and Shilpa did not budge even after CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes’ Association) asked her to report to work (

Interestingly, the actress alleges that Binaifer has altered her contract illegally by adding the exclusivity clause. “I am ready for a legal battle, but Binaifer knows that she has no legal standing. I have an old High Court order, which says that contracts between producers and actors are not legally binding as they are one-sided.”

So, has she given her nod to The Kapil Sharma Show? “No, I have declined it for health reasons,” she signs off.
